Our dream
“I lived and worked in the city with my husband. Our secret dream has always been to move to the countryside, live a life in contact with nature and start a stimulating activity with more free time. When we found an ancient villa (now the Blue House) in the countryside of Ostuni, it was love at first sight and from there began the path that led us to create Terra Sessana. Nowadays it is a country resort made up of ancient houses with private swimming pools, where our guests can spend holidays and live experiences, but it is, above all, a place where we joyfully share, with them, the peace and serenity of this beautiful spot of Puglia. “
A few kilometers from the “white” Ostuni and the attractive beaches of the Apulian coastline , immersed in a beautiful country punctuated of trulli and secular olive trees, stands the enchanting Terra Sessana.
The name comes from the district in which it is located: from the latin etymology (sanus) which means healthy life in harmony with nature.
Terra Sessana is a quaint holiday resort that extends over 7 hectares of land. Within this resort there are four houses: the Blue House which is the most prestigious and spacious house, an ancient Trullo, a typical stone building that is traditionally called Lamia, and a Casale with a large veranda overlooking the gardens.
Each property has it’s own private pool, a lawned garden, and ancient olive trees, from which you can enjoy a marvelous view of the valley.
The interiors of each house have traditional flooring and vaulted stone ceilings. The furnishings are elegant and comfortable.
The blue skies, the olive trees, the red earth, the colours and scents of the Mediterranean are the backdrop of this enchanting place. Offering guests peace and serenity in close contact to the regenerative power of nature.
The Blue House, the Trullo, the Casale and the Lamia are independent and autonomous holdings, finely furnished and equipped with every comfort. They can be rented separately or together.
The surrounds
Terra Sessana is strategically positioned to be able to visit the wonders of Puglia, Ostuni or better know as the “White City” is only 4km away, the “Valle d’Itria”, Cisternino, Locorotondo, Alberobello, Martina Franca. It is also a stones throw away from the Salento, Lecce (the Florence of the south), Otranto, Gallipoli. Matera with it’s ancient “Sassi” is a short drive away. Just 10km from Terra Sessana is the coast varying from the white sandy beaches of the Dune Park to the charming coves of Torre Pozzella to the beautiful Nature Reserve of Torre Guaceto, a real paradise for people who love the sea and walking in nature. This is a haven, steeped in tradition, culture, cuisine enjoyable at anytime of the year.

Enjoy the surrounding countryside that if you do not want to go far a field you can enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the resort, the colours and fragrances of the countryside, the pool, the traditional cooking, the horse and donkey that reside on the grounds or participate in the activities Terra Sessana offer like pasta making, jam making, salsa making and homemade face creams and scented body oils.
The owners are locals and live nearby and will be happy to give advice and information to make your stay as comfortable and peaceful as possible, transmitting and sharing the peace and harmony of this enchanting place. There are lots to do at the house or nearby to make your stay memorable.
